I caught my second ban in 2 weeks for calling an antivaxxer propaganda spreader a moron.
Everything I report that is blatantly over the line racist/homophobic/transphobic/whatever, including outright slurs, never gets moderated.
Facebook is one of the worst companies that has ever existed. They could offer me 2 mill a year and I wouldn’t take it. Fuck them.
I’m locked in because for years I’ve been using facebook registration for websites. Apparently if you delete your account, you lose access to all of those other accounts as well. So I’ve resolved this year to start making new accounts everywhere that I have a facebook login and delete this shit for good.
apple makes more money in a privacy-centric app universe, because then you get more apps charging monthly fees that apple gets a cut of. So yeah, Tim Apple isn’t doing this to be nice, it just happens that his incentives are somewhat better for most humans than zucc’s
I have a lot of friends on facebook, a lot from past adventures in my life, before politics became a moral battleground. It seems many of them turned out to be deplorable. I blocked or unfollowed as many as I could, but there is literally always ONE rwnj posting shit that shows up in my feed.
When I unfollow/unfriend that one, another one pops up immediately. I mean, these are people I haven’t interacted with in years and I just never got around to purging from my friends list. Old skydiving comrades, people from college, etc.
It takes less than a day for one rwnj to be replaced by another. I’m almost 100% sure FB is doing this on purpose at this point.
I made burner Facebook and Instagram accounts in order to more easily access information on those platforms without selling my soul. Insta was relatively easy, but Facebook did not appreciate my ruse and banned me with a quickness.
Facebook really on top of things, today deciding to flag this Valentines Day post from 2013. I told them I disagreed but they said due to covid they might not be able to review it.

Facebook took down this image of mine 6 months after I posted it, and then actually restored it when I claimed it didn’t go against their standards. I was sort of surprised.
