Is there anything Biden can do now to win over progressives?

  1. Announced moratorium on deportations in first 100 days (which would make Barack bristle I’m sure).
  2. Free college for students whose families make under 125k
  3. Bankruptcy protections (Warren’s plan that he passed a law against in 2005).

Lots of others but those are three major shifts off the top of my head.

That’s almost a bad faith question for anyone even remotely aware of politics. Or just blindingly willfully
Ignorant

A few things:

  1. The fact that it’s difficult for me to think of policy proposals from Joe Biden is a him problem, not a me problem.
  2. I wouldn’t call the things you listed “way to the left”.

And most importantly:

  1. Whatever he says, I’m not convinced he would actually fight for these things as president. What is he going to do when McConnell says “fuck you, no”? He’s already said he’s not for removing the filibuster.

Biden might have Kamala as VP and a Mnuchin pic was posted in this thread to try and make some point against Trump? Lmaooooo

By any sane definition these are pretty left policies.

A few more things:

  1. Uh, I barely follow this shit and immediately knew a few examples. Your head being planted in the sand is a you problem lolol.
  2. You admit you don’t know wtf is going on but then have the arrogance to misunderstand what way to the left means in this context? Strike 2.
  3. Bernie wasn’t against the filibuster either. Wtf is your point? Obviously him saying things matters more than his firmly reiterating previous positions. Bernie wouldn’t get much of anything done in his platform but it’s aspirational and sets the terms of the debate.

And Pence, a literal creationist, is the current VP.

Kopmala is wayToTheLeft™ of him imo

The IMO is completely unnecessary. It’s fact, not opinion.

This is the crux of this entire thread. People somehow still can’t understand political positions are placed on a continuum. So many think it’s discrete buckets for some reason.

mentioning Top Cop wasn’t meant to compare VPs. I was just laughing that Mnuchin was used as some gotcha to people bashing dems when Top Cop herself didn’t want to go after Mnuchin and his bank for thousands of violations of foreclosure laws

Also it’s laughable to think Dems wouldn’t confirm someone exactly like Mnuchin

PS not voting for Biden no matter how many canadian concern trolls come in and act toxic towards people they are trying to convince to vote with Biden

Does Treasury Sec even matter? What would a liberal TS do differently than Geithner/Mnunchin? Is it preferable to have a TS without any banking/finance experience?

Interesting how you,

  1. care more about your personal well being no matter how many others get hurt, and

  2. feel the need to mention my nationality as if it is dismissive of my position.

Sound familiar?

Has warren even endorsed biden yet? I don’t think her chances of getting picked for vp are that high, for more reasons than just dragging her feet on the endorsement. good for her for making that savvy moves to not throw away her career at the expense of her supposed principles though.

She did this morning.

I doubt he picks her for many reasons. I wish he would but I don’t see it happening.

ooo now we are at the point where clovis makes up the motivations of others from his imagination and then says some of us are trump supporters. But if you believe that some of us are trump supporters then your concern trolling about us voting for Biden is all just more theater. We get it man you’re a better person than us because you would put in a vote for biden over trump even in states that your vote doesn’t count in lol

Battle Hymn of the Dogwhistler

Warren coming home after Bernie and Obama (lol) is incredible.

Why did you feel the need to mention my nationality?

And yes, anyone who votes for Biden in November is, by definition, a better person than someone who does not.

My point wasn’t you are a trump supporter, just that you are using the exact same heuristics to understand the world as his supporters.

Warren or Kamala is my last chance to be excited for this election. Barring some insane upset pick like Rosie O’Donnell.

Warren or Kamala? wat?
