If anybody wants to start running, try the C25K (Couch to 5K) app or an equivalent. It will accomplish what the name implies if you follow the instructions, and it will start you off slow.

A+. No notes.

I’m actually curious why ICE didn’t arrest him (or the others) and just left? Is he some sort of wizard?

The reason: officers don’t have enough time to train to help ice.

Boycott Home Depot imo.

People talk about the Home Depot founder as a big Trumpkin, but it was founded by two partners and one is a Trumpkin and the other supported Harris. They’re both retired - that was just an aside.

I think a boycott could maybe be effective here. As I understand, HD has just gone with no plan or response really to ICE. I’m not really sure what they could do though. I don’t think ICE is going to respect a request that they don’t do these raids and I don’t think HD is capable of stopping them.

There are other reasons to boycott HD though of course.

My best friend worked at Home Depot corporate for a long time and knew the Trumper owner. He (edit: the owner) supported Trump for ā€œbusinessā€ reasons. Didn’t believe they could have succeeded as a company under Obama level regulations or something like that. I assume it’s bullshit and he just feels a basic kinship with other fat rich white dickheads.

I don’t know what the company could do, legally. But they could certainly raise a stink about unidentified masked men assaulting customers on the store floor. It’s not like that could be good for business.

It’s more than just business.

eta: Not sure if you meant it was just business for your friend or for the Trumpy founder.

Whether or not it does anything they could complain about a lack of warrant.

I think they would have to explicitly ban ICE from entering because they don’t need a warrant to enter an open public business. I think.

Oh. I guess it’s not surprising. I’ve followed Middle East and Israel/Gaza to some extent but I don’t think I can handle much more without losing my mind.

I meant business for the owner. My friend didn’t keep in close touch after he moved to Atlanta but I don’t think he could go MAGA. He was extremely close to his sister, who would put most posters here to shame with her militant progressive views.

Youve never jacked it while driving near a large body of water?

Have you even lived, man?

At this rate they will end up hiring undocumented recruits.

Huh, that guy that followed the National Guard around playing the Imperial March actually did get arrested, and the ACLU is representing him.

Local police in one of the bluest cities apparently will just follow unconstitutional orders from people who don’t even have legal authority over them.

The feds are coming to San Francisco now. Maybe SF cops will be better

The moderators of this message board, otatop, L.Washington, WichitaDM, Yuv, JonnyA, RiskyFlush, and SvenO, are cowards who let abusers dox and harrass other long time posters.

Oh I assumed because there was something filed that the guy was arrested. But reading the complaint, He was in fact not arrested but detained for an inordinate amount of time and then let go.

He was arrested. It’s at least not clear that he wasn’t anyway.

An arrest occurs when police officers take a suspect into custody. An arrest is complete as soon as the suspect is no longer free to walk away from the arresting police officer, a moment that often comes well before the suspect actually arrives at a jail.
