He’s a big fan of a little fun.
I saw 47 unread posts in this thread and my expectation was that they would deliver LOLs.
I was not disappointed.
You have a better grasp of English than Mason.
And I’m sure mathematics as well.
It seems he’s retreated to the hill of this book being some never-before-attempted unicorn text and is ready to die there. I can’t imagine that is even remotely possible but I don’t read a ton of history.
Did you ever read his psychology book? It’s just horrible. He approaches the idea of cognitive dissonance as a cause for tilt, but without using the term, so he comes across as some uneducated wannabe scrapping around the edges of an established concept, trying to say something profound while treading over well-covered ground.
I suppose some of you have heard this before …
Byron Nelson, the great golfer of the 1940’s-1950’s, used to be invited to play a great many golf courses of the day. The golf club was very proud of their golf course and wanted Lord Byron’s “seal of approval”. The golf courses ranged from truly spectacular courses to rundown cow pastures.
At the end of the round the club president would ask for Byron’s opinion of their golf club. Byron would never say anything negative. He’d compliment the surrounding countryside, the view from a particular tee, the beautiful trees, the lush grass, anything that he could think of. He would inevitably finish his answer by saying “This is the finest golf course of its kind.”
I imagine the same thing could be said about MM’s book.
Of course not.
And poker. And probably history too, honestly.
Can someone refresh my memory on 22 ownership. Who owns it: MM alone or DS and MM? If the latter, do they own equally and are there any other owners?
David had a piece of the website but not of the publisher
So he doesn’t own any of either now?
Sorry , the d and s are really close to each other on my phone and autocorrect doesn’t know the difference. He still has a piece afaik
Thanks. So when you say piece, it sounds like it’s substantially less than 50%. Is that right?
He would inevitably finish his answer by saying “This is the finest golf course of its kind.”
I imagine the same thing could be said about MM’s book.
In this case, MM seems to be saying it about his own book…
Curious to see how close my parody comes to his response to you in the 2p2 thread.
I’m imagining the paper is too stiff for him to have the finest book in the emergency toilet paper genre.
So, is the conventional wisdom that MM is wealthier than DS?
Looks like he had a good year
STONKS!
Did I do it right, guys?
Weird capitalizations or non-capitalizations of words too.
From the guy who started this thread? Big if true.
is that some kind of coded message deplorables use to signal each other - like “Nazi’s” and “I can’t breath”?
It’s curious how he regards on and which as undeserving of the capitals of We Now Have.
But then this is someone skilled in just one area of human endeavour and pretty shit in all the others.
