History Of The World From A Gambler’s Perspective: A Scholarly Discussion

He won the lottery but was too dumb to cash the ticket.

We have had discussions in the SE exile Slack chat off and on over the years about how much personal net worth Mason blew by being an idiot. A longtime 2p2 moderator put it around $10m last discussion if I remember correctly.

Why stop at $10m? Mason could have been president. RIP poker boom 2.0

I still just want an LSAT throwdown with Sklansky and others.

:+1:

Nah, even if that happened he would’ve sold us all out to Adelson for an extra buck.

I got a 169 doing zero test prep and considering there are some people with much more prestigious law careers than me I will guess there are several who have me beat. Sklansky would get destroyed by UP in a LSAT competition. Zero % chance he even gets 165 without extensive training.

That’s why it will never happen. But it would be awesome to see his comments after.

He keeps saying it over the years and ignores anyone who challenges him.

But to be fair, how well would the typical smart person his age do on the LSAT under timed testing conditions.

148 if you mean my actual prediction on someone like David. He wouldn’t be admitted to a single reputable law school. And they are pretty much desperate for students these days.

I’m asking how many smart, well-educated 72 year old people who could’ve gone to law school when young could still at age 72 score well enough to get into a good law school.

he wouldn’t have gotten a good score at 55 or whenever I became aware of him either. His entire rep is based on being slightly smarter than the rest of the problem gambler pool in poker in the pre-early 2000s period.

Seriously read his posting on 22. It is dumb and he raped underage and mentally handicapped women and bragged about it. He is not smart and also morally bankrupt.

Anybody want to do this and record video? I’ve got $10 to throw into a collection to cover expenses.

How many people posted free advice on 2p2 over the years? He could have literally monetized all of that. So many people would have given good coaching for 5 cents on the dollar.

So this.

Dammit you beat me by one point! I doth my hat sir.

(P.S. I was going to be a lawyer in a past life).

Once I was winning at STTs I felt like there was a lot of misinformation also. Same in MTT imo.

I love to lol Sklansky as much as the next dude, but I think you’re underestimating how easy it is.

The questions are all easy, the only real issue is the time limit.

He’s certainly got more than zero chance of >165 and considering he’s kind of offered LSAT bets before, he’s probably had at least a bit of practice. I definitely would never bet on Sklansky lower than 165 because between the time you make the bet and the time you take the test is more than enough time to “prep”.

To reiterate, this is not some high praise of Sklansky. It’s just an easy test. I’m sure I’d be a favorite against him as would many people here.

I’d bet on Sklansky breaking 165 cold.

I would think anyone who is willing to rape underage and handicapped girls would also have been willing to take real, not practice, tests for others who paid him.
