God people suck so bad. How do you tweet something like that and then not want to immediately kill yourself

I’m usually against armchair psychology but the only way it makes sense to me is that these people are presented with an undeniable fact pattern that they cannot accept: they have obvious privileges and equally obviously cannot articulate what value they offer society that warrants society giving them so much back. In liberals this manifests as liberal guilt, in conservatives it manifests as desperate emotional narratives about winners and losers and earned status.
So in a certain sense I can “get it”, when confronted with injustice where you’re a passive participant it’s harder to make sacrifices than it is to engage is self delusion. I think we’re all susceptible to it on some level. The naked hatred of some people is quite shocking though.
