I am totally fine with Manchin picking a fight with AOC here. Particularly an empty one like this that contains little more than messaging. It helps him separate himself from the Democrats, which is critical to him winning reelection (which contrary to what other people think is still far more likely than not, Manchin is most likely very good friends with every meaningful power broker in the state, and the voters know him and like him) and it doesn’t impact her at all.
This is really really different than eDems who aren’t good at politics blaming her for losing. This is just two people who know how to play the game batting the ball back and forth at each other for the benefit of the crowd. I award maximum points to both people.

Yeah that’s actually a winning fight for both of them.
In fairness this is more about there not being any POC’s or women at the top of large organizations to take the credit. The top person at most large organizations is usually there at least partly because they are terrific at self promotion, and there aren’t very many who don’t find a way to take the lions share of the credit for whichever decision they select.
If you want proof women do it too feel free to look up the career of a certain Whitman, Meg.
