Same reason we will never see Pump up the Volume stream.
That trailer is crap. Even without the horrible music choices, itās still crap. God help us if thatās indicative of the movie quality.
Also, the 1984 movie had a great score.
Isnāt the problem here mostly that itās a bunch of old boring white dudes whose only idea of music is orchestral arrangements? Itās like asking for a car that doesnāt suck and they design you a new Buick.

2001 disproves the entire theory posited in the OP and Iāve nothing more to add

2001 is actually a a soundtrack to be technical. It is all preexisting music. They planned to score it but when the composer saw the rough cut with placeholder classical music he couldnāt change it. Now itās considered one of the be soundtracks of all time.
Coming in second for amazing but way overplayed
