Wanted to circle back on this. I finally received the unofficial offer for the new job yesterday. Paperwork should be coming today. It takes the state quite a while before they can officially offer you the job, so it’s been a stressful week waiting for the word that it’s official.
It’s a slight raise from my private sector job (when I include the largest bonuses I’ve received - last year my firm, that was having a record year, took out a half million PPP loan and I suspect our bonuses last year reflected that), but being the public sector, the benefits are enormous.
Super excited for a new challenge.
