lol why does Chelsea have a 40+ player squad once again?

Giving players numbers away seems like bad form.

Ā£336m purchase price
38 years of contracts remaining

Boehly is just a kid having fun out there. I canā€™t wait to see how theyā€™ll manage the PSR.

I love how teams like Everton and Molester City get dinged with points off and Man City and Chelsea just do whatever they want.

-axel Disasi started for chelsea yesterday. heā€™s clearly not frozen out.
-armando broja is on loan with obligatioon to buy to ipswich for 30 million pounds if they stay up.
-lukaku and carney appear headed to napoli
-kellyman is a youth project not a first team player. and we all really know he was just a PSR swap piece.
-fofana is also a loan target

but otherwise itā€™s okay-ish. sterling and chillwell arenā€™t good enough to get in the squad and both have too high wages to stay around.

chalobah is a shame. iā€™d keep chalobah out of all of them.

interesting conversation topic though from that. gab and Julz on espn were talking about how the premier league TV deals appear to be not going up much year over year and is actually less than the 2015 inflation adjusted deal, and you arenā€™t able to price gouge tickets. how do teams plan on expanding revenue passed current levels if these deals arenā€™t continuing to rise. are they going to try and juice more from the international tv deals? will that work? it may just come to this Chelsea style madness of player swaps to just constantly kick the can down the road with amortization.

this isnt the NFL where the TV deals just double every time, and networks are paying 100 million dollars to the NFL for a single game on streaming.

Seattle destroys Columbus last night because they let both of their goalies go to international play and ran out of free-subs so had to put a goalie under contract with the main team instead of borrowing one. Halfway through the 1st half their only goalie gets a red card for a horrible play on a breaking Sounder and have to put one of their other players in goal.

Seattle proceeds to score 4 on him, but mostly due to bad defense by the 10 man Columbus squad. Would have been even better if it knocked Columbus out of the playoffs or something, but only prevents them from winning out and challenging for first place. What a goofy game.
