there’s a lot of people that somehow missed the dogwhistles til now. i cant blame them really, somehow,I think its some kind of collective lead poisoning or something.

We know Elon is a Nazi. If you own a club that let’s nazis in, you’re a Nazi club owner. If you write apologia for the German Nazi party, you’re a Nazi. As such we don’t have to wonder about the angle, timing or even secret-inner-heart intent of the salute. A salute made by a Nazi is a Nazi salute.

this is correct but the ones that don’t see it means they think the people claiming it are nuts though, that’s why I think the outrage won’t work on this too, reddit blew a gasket over it but I don’t think the average person is going to see it that way.
No data on that and I’m not gonna ask around to find out though just my feeling on it, some libs respond “crazy” and all it does is make them look crazier than the crazy thing going on to people.
R’s are also the best at spinning these things into nothingburgers quickly in people’s minds.

not a dogpile because i think clovis is a person that genuinely wants good things for other people - but ive had so many similar convos in the last day with palm colored people who like to pretend these kinds of things aren’t real and happening and have been for a while, and been met with extreme anger - including people i had cared deeply about. there’s absolutely zero mistaking what is going on here, but here we are with even snopes.com (the bastion of truth!) tiptoeing around calling the gesture what it is. I think a particular type of person may be seeing the wool mask uncovered from the big bad wolf here, and it will evoke a strong reaction on a bad day for a lot of people. There’s also such an absurd amount of propaganda around this topic, particularly if you hang out on X (i seriously cant imagine why anyone would other than to troll anymore but i am if anything a believer in freedom of expression) I dont fault people or clovis for dealing with that however they feel they have to. I don’t think dogpiling or shaming is really the answer here either. If anyone wants to say I’m stirring the pot or trolling I have a long, long history of my views on this particular topic.

I responded to BG and not the other ones because everyone else is good faith ribbing or disagreeing with me and before I had posted my change of mind. I liked almost all those post at the time th discussion was happening. I have no issue with them.
BG is a special case of scumbag who acts this way online then DMs being all buddy buddy.
