I think it’s less nuanced than that. He’s down a rabbit hole of misinformation with the other millions of people that want the world to be different than it actually is. He hates Wikipedia because it does a good job of creating a factual record of the way things actually are. The end.

Yes sir. The modern “conservative” movement is to deny knowledge, science, and reason and embrace ignorance driven by fear and insecurity. Wikipedia is the enemy of ignorance, thus it must be destroyed at any cost.

I think it was @suzzer99 that introduced the idea of a reverse cargo cult here. It’s a kind of projection but also a strategy to bring everyone else down to your level. If Wikipedia is Dickipedia then it’s fine that Twitter is X. Everything is shit anyway.

Wikimedia foundation also do lots of cools stuff about publishing and maintaining all sorts of other data, including maps and pictures of famous art.
Wikimedia is a pretty cool thing to be involved in. Old Man Rugby was a big Wikipedia guy for decades. He even got the Wikipedian of the week award when he resigned as an admin.

This would be incredible. Not sure how trust-based rankings would play out, but hope they can get the effort up and running at a small scale to experiment.
Well, I’m one of those people that Elon convinced to Donate to wikipedia this year. In years past I’ve always been on the fence, but as good information is even more threatened now from dipshits like Elon his tweet reminded me that this is a good time to support.

Is Twitter just completely broken today for anyone else? I’m getting tons of errors, posts not loading, replies not loading, posts unavailable, entire lists with 100+ accounts showing up as a blank feed.
On a completely unrelated note, I have three Bluesky codes available.
