Let’s take a look at how Elon responded to a prior situation where he had no idea how something worked:

The server was ready to be moved.

The next day — Christmas Eve — Musk called in reinforcements. Ross Nordeen, who worked with his friend James at Tesla, drove from San Francisco. He stopped at the Apple Store in Union Square and spent $2,000 to buy out the entire stock of AirTags so the servers could be tracked on their journey, and then stopped at Home Depot, where he spent $2,500 on wrenches, bolt-cutters, headlamps, and the tools needed to unscrew the seismic bolts.

So we’ll just slap some airtags on F-35s or whatever and Elon will move them himself.

The real question is what Elon wants from Trump. It could be something as prosaic as getting an appointment that “requires” him to dump a bunch of Tesla stock in a tax-free and explainable way to full power-behind-the-throne fantasies. Or maybe the right-wing brain worms he’s been exhibiting are completely genuine and he’s just enthusiastic to be on board with Trump’s projects.
