If the playing field was anything close to level, I’d say he got outplayed, but if what you say is true then it was basically on Bibi to decide the timing and he certainly wasn’t going to throw Biden a bone. He was probably fine to have more hostages die and bomb more Palestinians if it meant making Trump look good.

This is correct, but Bibi’s favoring of Trump and his desire to sabotage Democrats has always been obvious. Biden got outplayed not by Trump, but by Bibi, because he gave everything Israel wanted in exchange for less than nothing. Dem support of this genocide will be a stain on the party’s brand for years.
