Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

We didn’t have sufficient hand-wringing over that when Hillary ran in 2016. Since 9/11, I’ve been consistent in opposing all presidential candidates who voted for the Iraq AUMF. I was unhappy that Bernie didn’t go scorched earth on her and continually attack her on that point, but I seem to like negative campaigning more than he does. I wish someone had done the same to Biden.

Can’t find the tweet, but https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/news-polls/reuters-ipsos-data-democratic-primary-2020-03-05

BIden 45%, Sanders 32% among Dem RV.

Look, I’m not saying, “Don’t worry, be happy,” and that everything is a-ok, or that Biden will have no problem beating Trump, but that honestly sounds like Biden’s speech impediment cropping up. I’m not an expert - far from it - but I doubt he forgot Obama’s name after saying the first letter.

I greatly prefer Bernie, but I think we need to cool it with jumping all over ZOMG ALZHEIMERS every time Biden stumbles over a word.

Sooo… you’re voting for the candidate you’re comfortable voting for?

I think Risky’s point is that the electorate is more likely to expand when there is a candidate “people are excited to vote for” and not just one people are “comfortable voting for.” And, as we know, Dems do much better when more people vote overall.

Dog he himself says he no longer has a speech impediment. “The last guy” looooooool my god

Chris Cuomo looks so uncomfortable there. I couldn’t even get through the first 30 seconds without cringing. Can’t imagine what it’s like when you can’t cut away.

This bitch sued people for sharing Linkin Park music and once invoked MLK when discussing the case. Now she brings it up for this shit.

Not exactly.

You want to believe the most charitable possible explanation for his new found inability to speak that’s up to you. Watch a video from 08. Or even 16! It’s very obvious what is happening.

It is currently quite literally a 50/50 race. Wtf are you talking about

I’m talking about that one specific example, not every incidence of him speaking.

Fair enough. Anything is possible

Pretty sure Sanders is significantly below 50% to win the nomination.

If he’s above 15-20% right now (barring grey swan events like e.g. incredibly dirty dirt on Biden coming to light) I’d be pretty surprised.

So your point is she should just endorse the winner and who cares who she actually agrees with.

I can’t wrap my head around how you guys think sometimes.

Trump is going to successfully run to the left of Biden on health care, entitlements and forever wars.

Also how the hell is Bernie not hammering Joe for his “zero empathy for young people” comment? Competent GOP hit men are going to absolutely annihilate this guy.

Right on cue Fredo gives them a condescending lecture about how they’re on the “same team”.

This is also maybe the worst thing I’ve ever seen on cable news.

Ok, you know how the voting populace and prez politicians really agree with or know they’re at least supposed to pay lip-service to ideas like m4a is good, that student loan debt is sinful usury, and all the rest? That’s ~all Bernie. He has done more than anybody ever to shift the overton window, to the point that even the worms infecting his opponent’s brains are having moments of doubt and crises of faith.

“Helping Bernie” is helping that cause.

So yes, having The One Person who’s supposed to be aligned with him, with the only differences being wonkery nuances and dreams of pragmatism, come out and endorse or at least say, “Hey, snake emojis aside, let’s grow the fuck up, Bernie is good and right,” would be absolutely huge. It’s also a way to drag this thing out, cement the overton shift, and hold the hypothetical Biden administration’s feet to the fire and say that Lord willing we hope you crush trump but don’t for a fucking second think you have some centrist mandate.

Like @microbet said, they’d better be picking up the teeth up from the convention floor by the bucketful. (ok he didn’t say that but i’m extending the fuck out of this metaphor)

Considering Liz isn’t even guaranteed the influence, how is anything other than telling the world that Bernie isn’t alone not craven and shameful?

Lol, yep, was gonna post that too but didn’t want people waking up to a slew, an absolute deluge if you will, of my posts.
