UHC just lost a massive case over discriminating the way they’d cover mental health care, creating overly arduous barriers for providers to treat UHC clients and overly emphasizing crisis stabilization while making access to treatment incredibly difficult for its members. They continue to be orders of magnitude worse to work with as a provider when compared to literally any other panels.
And because the health insurance industry fucking waffle crushes our professional associations wrt legislative influence, the tables are massively skewed against health care professionals and in favor of heath insurance companies. Despite their flagrantly bad behavior I was aghast they actually lost. They continue with the same shenanigans though, lol.
So while you might like your plan, your company is widely regarded as the worst insurance company when it comes to mental health treatment.
