Democratic Primaries 2020 - A thread for actual primary news

The first Missouri poll dropped, Bernie is getting killed there. 68 delegates they vote week after Super Tuesday.

Frrom the fight club thread…

I think I prefer Bernie over Biden because I think he’s more electable in the general so a lower chance of disaster with Trump. I just don’t think his platform is well thought out, I believe Warren has thought of the costs and is progressive enough in the right areas to bring the meaningful changes that is needed. I guess as an outsider I just want someone smart enough to be able to be trusted to make decisions that influence the entire world for the better and that’s why I liked Warren, Franken, and Harris. Of the remaining candidates I really only trust Warren to put the right people in place to be able to make the right decisions

This doesn’t matter because literally nothing that he wants to implement will be implemented if he becomes POTUS. The point of putting a Dem in the WH is to temporarily delay the GOP from achieving its goals.

That’s not great, but the narrative will have changed a lot by then.

Bernie isn’t winning in the south, he’s just hoping to not get destroyed in the south (ie do better than vs hillary) (at least MO is SEC country)

Bernie only lost Missouri by 0.25% to Hillary in 2016.

Missouri might as well be Mississippi. Dun cur

I listened to the Bernie/Rogan pod. Obviously a friendly forum, but he really excels with a runway.

So does Tulsi imo, you should listen to that one too with the Seal bro co-guest

abc/wapo poll coming out at midnight with I wish I wasn’t making this up (not pro pete but I want more lol yang) Yang beating Pete nationally at 7%. Coupled with a NH poll coming out soon, Yang should make the debate.

this according to the guy who’s been leaking polls early. no, I don’t know how he knows every god damn poll (though he didn’t leak the steyer ones at least publically).

The leak was confirmed though, among leaners biden 28, bernie 24, warren 11, bloom 8, yang 7 pete 5. Obviously the voting #'s are more important.

margin among black people for biden is higher than old and you aren’t gonna blame them for being the death of us are you?

Pretty much confirms the rest of the recent polling. Bernie up, Warren down, Biden with Trump like numbers that don’t change much and the rest irrelevant. Ready to start counting some votes at this point. The anticipation is killing me.

worse for warren, she gets the most 2nd place votes, but most of those are from bernie.

She still probably gets enough to get IA delegates but idk how long she’s gonna hold out running if she can’t beat bernie anywhere.

edit–any time I see yang too high like this one I figure it’s a little too independent skewed over dem voters but as stated, biden/bernie pretty big favorites who are pretty much even with bernie expected to win IA/NH and lol pete.

if you look at the data now versus july 1, 2019 literally nothing has changed from people still in the race except yang (wut) and bloomberg (who wasn’t running at all). Maybe it’s simple as that, everything is just noise, we’ll see when the votes actually count though, sometimes polls end up off.

Kudos to Steyer, who spent hundreds of millions to only get support by voters who atm think he’s the only one running for president.

Everything’s coming up Bernie

The olds get the blame as a lifetime lack of achievement award.

Looks like Yang is qualified for the next debate.

So Bernie needs people to start dropping out, and fast, I think. Biden is going to be at a Trump-like 30-35% forever.
