It’s not just Kraft. No “American Cheese” (I mean American style, not cheese made in America) meets the legal definition of cheese, because “American Cheese” is made by mixing other types of cheese (usually a young cheddar) with emulsifiers, so the amount of pure dairy falls below the FDA definition of cheese.

american cheese or processed cheese as it’s called in Canada is absolutely disgusting and I am revolted by it. I love cheese and eat way too much of it, but I love real cheese and pretty much every single kind of cheese there is.
