Dealing with Deplorable Family and Friends

the pedophile thing is just weird. Like every time someone calls me that, I’m befuddled. It’s usually a dead giveaway that they are DEEP into that stuff.

Remember that we can’t call them “racist” just because they don’t want black or brown people to have rights, but they can call us pedos because they read something on Facebook. Makes sense.

lol right. For now I’m trying not to push him too much on whether God is in control as much as I am trying to get him to consider maybe he’s wrong about who God prefers. But I can always go the other way with it.

One of my all time favorite exchanges was when a guy calling me pedophile tried to “out” me publicly by posting a 15 year old photo of a very obviously 16 year old me and a highschool girlfriend. “SEE, THIS GUY FUCKS MINORS!”

That’s just like giving me a wide open alley oop to dunk on. It was great. The stupidity of these people is actually astounding.

I’m surprised it hasn’t caught on more. Like to a right winger the worst thing to be called is ‘racist’. It supposedly is a conversation stopper and gets slung around by left wing people to stop conservatives from voicing things. So the next worst thing to be called is a ‘pedophile’. I’ve got to imagine they think, that in addition to being true, that 's some kind of rhetorical judo that they get to throw at people they don’t like.

After pizzagate - a lot of this pedophile stuff started up again through #SAVETHECHILDREN. Apparently before Q this was mostly people like Tim Ballard, the founder of the anti-trafficking group Operation Underground Railroad. He goes undercover in Thailand and other places and bust brothels and johns with underage children.

Sounds good right? Well all he wants is the attention of the dramatic filmed bust. Then he moves on to the next case. So the victims are remanded to the cops, who just drop them right back in the same situation that got them human trafficked in the first place.

Experts in the field warn that organizations touting having “rescued” victims of human trafficking without having extensive reports on the quality of aftercare could be doing more harm than good. “If an organization is contracting out for aftercare, or if it is simply connecting survivors to shelters, this is where the claims of providing aftercare should end,” says Dr. Lauren Pinkston, an expert in resources for victims of human trafficking. “It is incredibly easy to publish excellent words on a website describing your programming. Delivering excellence in programming is incredibly challenging. I find it unethical to draw donor dollars from skillful marketing when survivors and their nuanced rehabilitative challenges are painted with a broad stroke, especially when services are not able to delivered with sustainable care,” Dr. Pinkston says.

Operation Underground Railroad, which advertises that it partners with local law enforcement to conduct “raids” on trafficking operations—often in developing countries, has been criticized specifically for its touting of quality aftercare without being able to back up those claims with concrete evidence. “There are multiple organizations with this type of model, and there are some serious critiques of the search and rescue model of anti-trafficking organizations, per my PhD research,” Dr. Pinkston says. “I heard from multiple informants for my dissertation [that] organizations with this type of model were a great hindrance to the over arching anti-trafficking work,” says Dr. Pinkston.

O.U.R. Rescue, as it is often called, offers the ability for some volunteers to assist with “raids” on trafficking operations in foreign countries. Volunteers are trained to act as johns and can participate in the raids by working undercover. “One issue with the model is a lack of collaboration with anti-trafficking coalitions,” says Dr. Pinkston. “If an organization is networking well with other anti-trafficking agencies, whether that be nonprofit or government entities, the leadership of that organization will understand that performing raids to ‘rescue’ sex workers is counterproductive when performed by tourists or short-term volunteers,” Dr. Pinkston says.

“I worked alongside an anti-trafficking task force in the poorest country in Southeast Asia, so I can attest to the fact even when units are under-resourced, foreign organizations working in sovereign nations MUST cooperate with local law enforcement to make sure information is being shared and the nonprofit is not inhibiting the work of the local government. This is the reason I believe the search and rescue model utilizing short term volunteers can be incredibly harmful in making an impact on anti-trafficking work,” says Dr. Pinkston.

This guy at first let the Q people tag along, but then mostly disavowed them w/o trying to fight with them too much.

For established anti-trafficking groups, the surge of support from internet conspiracy theorists has been a mixed blessing. Some activists, such as Tim Ballard, the founder of the anti-trafficking group Operation Underground Railroad, see an opportunity to reach a new, hyper-engaged online audience.

“Some of these theories have allowed people to open their eyes,” Mr. Ballard said. “So now it’s our job to flood the space with real information so the facts can be shared.”

But a month later:

If there’s one thing Republicans have taught us, it’s that semi-controlled bad faith charlatans are always vulnerable to more extreme bad faith charlatans.

All my relatives are pretty normal afaik but I’ve been avoiding one aunt’s (wife of uncle) FB page for awhile. God I wish I hadn’t gone there. Bible posts, BLM hate, Antifa hate, likely Qanon believer, joined Parler in November ffs. She thinks I’m a demon child because I listen to the Dead and smoke weed.

Yep. The guy started talking about the 800,000 children a year going missing, I told him only about 100 a year are actually kidnapped by a stranger, how I personally used to enter the same “missing” child three times a week when I was a police dispatcher, how the same sources that give you the 800,000 number are the ones that clarify it’s only about 100 true child kidnappings. That’s basically what provoked him into saying I was a part of the pedophile cult.

only pedophiles use common sense and logic. It’s an age old tell.

The last time I dealt with someone who wanted to push pedophile conspiracy theories, I suggested that maybe the kids deserved it. That shut him up. He wasn’t a friend or family, though, so you may not want to pursue that line.

Lol this made me laugh way harder than it should have

Well everyone knows what the #1 cause of pedophilia is right?

So hard to not troll her right now. A post on the prayer march or whatever the fuck happened before the white house breach being peaceful is begging for a “this didn’t age well” comment.

Love it

Subtle but saying what’s up imo. I expect a bunch of bible verses or me sinning.

Now ask something about Benghazi and if an investigation is needed.
