Could be it’s not in anyone’s favorite movies. Like Kingpin could never make my cut but I still like it.

Agreed. I feel very strongly about the top 4 on my list and everything else might not have even made the cut on any given day. I have a few on my list that I haven’t even watched in like 20 years.

I can’t believe I have Dances with Wolves on my top 20 list, but it is and deserves to be there.

After the agony of going from 21 to 20, I put the 20 into random.org’s list randomizer until something not too ridiculous came out. Too many good movies.

Would be close to bottom 20 for me. What utterly pretentious shit.

Missing Mars Attacks!, Event Horizon and 12 Monkeys from the list. And wtf, no Fifth Element?!?!?

I couldn’t quite fin 20 favorites on the list actually. My fault, as I didn’t read the directions. If I do this again next time I will need to nominate more movies haha. Note - I’ve seen a lot of mediocre 80s films!

Fifth Element definitely would’ve made my Top 20 (although I said that about several movies which did not make my top 20). I’m surprised it was 1997, I thought it was early 2000s.

Is anyone going to start a “top 90 movies of the 20s” thread? I got Nosferatu, Sherlock Jr., Phantom Carriage, Metropolis, Haxan.

Are you not a Chaplin guy? The Gold Rush is the best 1920s movie I’ve seen. Nosferatu is awesome too though.

(I’ve seen very few 1920s movies. It’s the point in history where I wouldn’t be able to provide a top 20.)

I didn’t give it much thought because I was being goofy but Chaplin for sure deserves a top spot.

Speaking of Nosferatu, Bram Stoker’s Dracula is a masterpiece.

Who hasn’t?

Just start with the Lon Chaney movies

I watched The Penalty not long ago. That was good.

Laugh, Clown, Laugh

The Ace of Hearts

The Unknown

Are big recommendations from me.

Haven’t seen The Penalty but it looks interesting.

Fifth Element is a good one that broke my top 30 but not in the top 20, same for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare before Christmas are a couple that were also forgotten.

Ah crap, LKJ is it too late to replace something on my list?
