The kind of reminds me of the creationist playbook back in the day. Normal people never show up to local school board meetings so it’s not hard to flood them with wackadoodle idiots and a small minority of dedicated people can affect real changes.

Letting the bullies win is so bad, it just further emboldens them. In my school district a pediatrician showed up last night to beg for a mask mandate and got screamed at and booed off the stage. It’s a fucking disgrace. I bet 90%+ of parents support a mask mandate but these council people voted it down anyway because of a vocal and obviously insane hyper-minority. Infuriating.
re the early spread of COVID (not its origins):
I think it is well-established that we had community transmission in California in early January, which implies there is some climatic/seasonal/superspreader/unexplained dynamic to its rate of spread.
It’s also quite surprising to me that wild deer had contracted COVID in January 2020.

Alpha variant is the UK variant, discovered in Kent, UK Dec 2020 and named a Variant of Concern February 2021. I think you’re refering to covid 1.0.

It’s the most benign thing too. Like it’d be one thing to say the COVID vaccine should be mandated. Like it should, but it’s injecting something into someone so I can see someone be there being resistance. The masks are like a dress code change.
IIRC, COVID spreads really well in minks, foxes, and raccoons, so there’s any number of interactions that could have resulted in deer getting infected besides bat encounters.
The few countries in the world that were sampling, and storing, sewerage samples from 2019 found interesting results.

No. Utter bullshit. If 11% truly had covid antibodies there would be actual evidence of a large scale breakout in Italy. I’m also pretty sure that you’ve posted this nonsense before.

Probably not if it was just causing pneumonia like symtoms in the middle of flu season. One way you might tell is to test the dated blood samples for covid antbodies, like the cancer institute did in that article above that I haven’t posted before.
IIRC, there were some pretty major issues with that Italian study. We talked about it months ago I think.

No. We’ve done this before I’m not doing it again. The results of this study are not plausible.
