Having crystals around cures all. It’s science.
This is why I just try to avoid math altogether and go with my feels.
I’m pretty sure it’s the gluten. I used to eat a Domino’s pepperoni pizza for lunch and dinner every day, but since I switched to more fruits and vegetables and fish I feel a lot better. The gluten in the pizza dough was messing me up.
Looks to me that localized breakouts of covid19 will be the norm in the CR until there’s a vaccine or a loss of containment that will necessitate a new lockdown.
So I’m expecting occasional spikes like a few days ago every so often for the foreseeable future. I suppose the next time I post about the CR here, it’ll either be out of boredom or if containment is broken and there’s a second wave.
Anyway, almost zero masks at my school’s graduation ceremony. Hundreds of people outdoors sitting next to each other and probably 1% of the people wore masks. Admittedly, I didn’t wear my mask the whole time either. I’m just as guilty as they are I suppose.

Right, so the echo wave will be the increase in deaths that lags more than deaths did previously, because of the initial skew in cases towards younger, healthier people. So maybe instead of 2-3 weeks, we will see a 5-6 week lag, and a lower CFR than with the first wave, where nursing homes took like 50% of the hit.
Was this covered? Four days old but I haven’t seen it here
At one rally, he was filmed coughing without covering his mouth and on another occasion he was seen sneezing into his hand and shaking the hand of an elderly woman immediately afterwards.
Federal Judge Renato Borelli said that if the president - and other public officials - did not comply with the requirement to wear a mask when out in public, he would incur a fine of 2,000 reais ($387; £310) per day.
Brazil has the second-highest number of coronavirus cases in the world after the United States
jfc, a FB friend posed an honest question about people’s thoughts on going to Six Flags with social distancing and facemasks and someone (who I actually remember meeting once) responded with the old corona-is-no-worse-than-the-flu-masks-are-the-government’s-way-of-controlling-us bullshit.
My hands trembled as I started to reply, but then I thought better of it and closed my laptop.
I’ve been on a low FODMAP diet for a year and have avoided gluten, and haven’t contracted covid yet. QED.
When is a vaccine not a vaccine?
Yeah I’m not doing that. Sorry not sorry. We need to figure out how to live with this virus in the honestly pretty likely event that it becomes endemic. I’m not taking some super rushed vaccine that isn’t safe enough for the people who most need to be vaccinated… that tells me pretty loudly that their confidence in its safety is pretty low.
Seriously I’m getting to a point where my lifestyle sets me up for an R0 of 0 if I get it (I will almost certainly get it from my wife whose R0 will be 1 because she got infected at work wearing full PPE and probably didn’t spread it to anyone). I’m also very unlikely to contract it doing the things I’m currently doing other than being married.
Perhaps covid19 is the new flu. Gonna need a yearly vaccine for it.
I don’t understand the govt trying to control us angle for mask. If anything it makes the govt harder to identify us.
I don’t think the govt or police want a population wearing mask everywhere.
its basically a slippery slope argument, first they tell you masks are for your safety so you do that, then they tell you going to the camps is for your safety DUHHHH
If this is true, then you should still fine eating the same diet with a gluten-free crust.
But it could also have been the poisonous tomato sauce.
Sincerely,
Tom Brady
Tell them that their life would be better if the government was more in control.
Actually, I was thinking about something else this morning. Did we ever see a spike from the Lake of the Ozarks orgy? So I just looked, and Missouri is relatively flat, but St Louis is declining and SW Missouri is growing pretty fast. Looks like nothing has been linked definitively, but there are articles here and there about a few cases coming from events at Lake of the Ozarks. This is actually a cluster of five cases from a party the following weekend:
And the fact that there is stuff being cancelled there tells me that there must have been some spread:
But nothing as catastrophic as we all expected. So I think outdoors is somewhat safe, but not all the way. If you’re in close proximity to people outdoors without masks, you probably have a shot to get it… and if you’re right next to them for a long duration, then that probably goes up quite a bit. Outdoors with masks seems to be quite safe.
That said, it’s possible the spread at the Ozarks happened not at the outdoor party but back in hotel rooms and such, in smaller groups. It’s also possible that it was mostly spread via smear, not through the air, and that’s why we only saw a few cases. We know the droplets/aerosolized particles are the main form of spread, but as far as I know we haven’t proven that smear is zero risk…
