COVID-19: Chapter 4 - OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Expect the mask wearing to have a half life of about 2 weeks.

I’m in for some combination of red and purple.

Georgia is finally fully breaking out there antibody results from swab results. It was adding .5% to their overall positive rate.

The socialist government here in Utah has come through with the promised free washable mask.

If the virus can infect / attach to blood vessels, are we not at risk of transmission through cuts and open wounds?

Sounds plausible but I sort of doubt there are documented cases of that.

So you’re saying butt sex is still on the menu.

Yup. Ho-him, another week another 7,000 dead. The virus is having a field day. Wait until they try to startup the sports games. Did Fauci say something positive about a vaccine today?

But for real though. Hospitals aren’t overwhelmed with bodies in hallways. We’re running good, right?

Health officials say they first learned of a positive test at the plant in mid-May, and cases increased every week.

On May 29 and 30, Aspen offered testing to its employees, revealing the large outbreak. More than 200 have tested positive. The Kansas City plant employs about 850 people.

Dude on chiefsplanet works here and tested positive. He’s not happy about the 2 week gap from the time his bosses knew about a positive test to the time they tested everyone. Meanwhile the “non-political” thread is still being spammed with right-wing idiots posting youtubes from “a doctor” saying it’s all a hoax.

Hey everyone, remember a lifetime ago when coronavirus was the all-consuming crisis of our time?

Maybe. I think fecal oral transmission has been documented, so one would be advised to pay attention to the order of operations.

Pretty sure everybody here still thinks a nuclear exchange is off the table. Society breaking down in the US might be on the table now but I am not blaming covid for that. I am actually surprised how well countries other than US, Russia and Brasil are doing.

It’s surely not this way for no reason. Some real money is going to the parties responsible for the complexity.

Literally? Nuclear war is never off the table. It’s between the US and Russia, not Trump and BLM, but it’s still on/never left the table.

Actually Georgia wasn’t counting positive serology results as cases. 100% could have been positive and it wouldn’t have mattered. They just added the total number of serology tests into the denominator and sent out the numbers.

So it was closer to 1.5 percentage points that they were fudging the positive rate. And making themselves look like testing heroes until people caught on.

So with demonstrations raging throughout the country, how is there not going to be a massive surge of new cases in the coming days?

Every effort we’ve been making to flatten the curve and keep the virus at bay was just suddenly abandoned and it’s now a helter-skelter free-for-all.
