Daniel Dale explained the source of the “no ammunition” story today. The other facts you’re mentioning have all been reported by the media. The billions comment is either an obvious error or exaggeration. That said, I think the reporters could play off one another better when he’s on the ropes, but most are not quick enough on their feet to do that. But after watching Trump for three + years, I think its pretty clear that people will see what they want to see.
And this is what I mean. Sometimes its enough just to report Trump’s words, or just air them as he says them, as they are too abstract to try to decipher and contest. They are obviously the ramblings of an unstable human. Trump was impeached and proven pretty objectively to be guilty, but his enablers kept him in office. I wish the enablers were held to account, because trying to nail Trump for being Trump is often an exercise in head-banging.

Yep. We should start 5-10 fake right wing news sites, write some flowery articles about him on each and pump him up on Twitter on each Twitter account, and all apply for press credentials to the WH. Decent chance one of us would get through and get called on, fucking shred him with one back and forth, then keep firing away with legit questions until they literally dragged us out of there.
