as saban was saying on the broadcast the biggest mistake was ranking SMU as high as they did before this week, they had done nothing up to that point to be ranked so high they should have been right ahead or right behind Indiana who was #11, both teams pretty much had identical resumes

Agree the root of the problem was SMU was too high in the previous ranking.

Anyways, it would be interesting to take playoff rankings from previous years and simulate brackets using the CFP rules, then take sagarin power rankings and see what the win probability is for each bracket position. #5 is probably a good place to be year after year.

Boise led Oregon in the fourth @ their place, give up kick return TD and last sec FG to lose by 3. Jeanty rushed for 192 on them.
Narrative is totally different if they win that game instead. What if the refs donāt help UGA vs GT. All sorts of what ifās and things you can say to manipulate whatever you want.

that spot is there for the cinderella every year, and they should always have it. alabama or michigan or any top 25 brand is never getting left out with 2 losses. donāt lose more than that, or join the mountain west or sun belt or stfu.

they definitely should. let the 4 conference champs in + the 1 lower team but obviously just rank the top 4.

Generally people donāt just willingly give a billion dollars away for nothing but who knows it might happen.
At least Oregon was given the easiest path to the title as a reward for being the only undefeated and top-ranked team who also won their conference. You love to see it.
