Yeah, if they didn’t roll the odometer back, that sounds like a good deal for a low mileage vehicle with no red flags.
It’s a literal “only driven by a little old lady on Sunday’s” situation, but I knew the little old lady. They have every single service receipt going back to 2000!
Yes that’s a snap buy there. Good find
My mom was one of those people. 19 years, 50K miles. And it was purchased used with about 10K on there.
Every kid should be required to drive a 15 year old Toyota Camry or Honda Accord until they’ve proven themselves worthy of a nicer car.

Man, when I was growing up, an Accord would have been the nicer car I was aspiring to.
Funny story time. My first car was an old Accord that had seen its fair share of use before me, including being flooded our at some point. The day after I get my license I am driving myself to school for the first time, going 25mph down a residential street. A car comes up behind me and is laying on the horn, so I eventually pull over and let them pass, then continue on at 25mph. No way was I going to speed my first day with the car.
I get out of the neighborhood and come to a red light, and while stopped there it is only then that I realized the speedometer is now reading 10mph. So it was off by 10, and I had been going 15mph when I thought I was doing 25mph. It felt like I was driving slowly, but my lack of experience combined with nerves of not wanting to break the law made me not realize just how off the speedometer was
That car didn’t last long, but it had over 200k miles when I got it I think.
Back in the mid-90s, my brand new Grand Caravan seized up the first week we owned it. Turns out it was a bad head gasket, and of course the dealership fixed it for free. After this, I don’t recall ever having any other unusual maintenance issues with it.
My first car was a 1993 F-150 that my dad sold to me while i was in high school for $2500 or $3000. Great shape because he’s such a freak about his cars but it got terrible gas mileage. Rear wheel drive only so it was pretty suspect in the snow and ice

This is part of the reason I love this Camry for my kid. Everyone’s first car should be a beater for so many reasons. My first car was a decrepit Buick Century station wagon that had squirrels living under the back seat.
IMO everyone’s first car should be a new bigass $100k SUV and when they get drunk and total it, then you can buy them the nicer, bigger $150k SUV.
I got a rusted out Nissan Xterra with 200k miles on it and I had to buy it from my mom. I’d take one of those nice sedans any day
I meant to post these when we were discussing the Bolt EUV, but here’s a few pics of the trunk without the false floor in. The chair is this one, or very similar to it and should be the same size:
I checked out a 2023 Venza Limited at the Toyota dealership this weekend. It’s a rebadged Toyota Harrier for the US market and feels like an alien cousin to an RX 350 in some ways. I definitely did not think it was worth anywhere near the $48,000 price tag, but it has one unique feature that I finally got to see in person and it’s as cool as advertised.
Star Gaze® Fixed Panoramic Roof
Venza’s modern interior is elevated with advanced tech. A first for Toyota, Venza’s available Star Gaze® fixed panoramic roof * transforms from opaque to transparent at the press of a button. With the right amount of natural light coming in from above, the Star Gaze® fixed panoramic roof helps give Venza’s cabin an even more spacious, airy and premium feel.
That’s a show car. Tell the kid to take the bus.
Golden era of Toyota reliability. Looks very clean. Absolute steal in the current market.
Very cool. I was on a Delta flight a few months ago that had adjustable opacity windows instead of the plastic shade slide covers. It was so much fun to mess around with.

I was on a plane with those recently. Kids thought they were the coolest thing ever.
This is odd but I was at the Cincinnati Zoo decades ago and they had something very similar. Must have been in the 90s and it’s just one of those things I’d never forget because it seemed like something out of a sci-fi movie.
