Which brings us back to Hamline University. After the professor showed the image of Muhammad—a famous painting, and necessary to any course on global art history—a Muslim student in the class complained to the administration; other students backed her up, saying that they were also offended, as a conservative but widely held interpretation of Islam bars Muslims from looking at images of Muhammad.
LibertyU is less fainting couch about urine-soaked crucifixes than “a Muslim student in the class” and “other students” are about a picture of Mohammed.
“As a Muslim and a Black person, I don’t feel like I belong, and I don’t think I’ll ever belong in a community where they don’t value me as a member, and they don’t show the same respect that I show them,” the student, Aram Wedatalla, said.
All the idiots that supported the aggrieved idiot and the idiotic President that catered to the large group of idiots demanding a head: pretty obvious culture.
The biggest lie I heard from progressive politics is one you probably heard, too.
If only the other side knew the facts, they would understand. If only they saw our pain, they would stop.
Bull****.
Those are two lies, and they both mean the same thing: for some people, facts and feelings will never matter as much as obedience to conservative standards.
Strict Fathers believe that obedience trumps all. Rules exist for a reason. Our inner selves are wicked and must be resisted at all cost.
To teach children to always obey without question, a parent must always be prepared to make the pain of disobedience worse for their child than if they had simply obeyed.
Discipline and punishment are vital tools for a Strict Father.
Anyone is welcome into the fold if they are willing to repent and obey.
This is why they hate cancel culture, because it is a vehicle for discipline and punishment to be used against them. If you want conservatives to behave, you need to make non-compliance a painful alternative and they’ll hate it every step of the way and resent you because it’s coming from someone they don’t want to accept as an authority.
But they have to obey that “illegitimate” authority if it is strong enough to force them against their will. We should really operate with a double standard where we use cconservative tactics against conservatives. To each according to their need and this is what conservatives need to behave.
