It seems like the bridge rebuild contract may (and I haven’t looked into this enough to say I agree) have been Maryland, but the initial response to the disaster and the clean-up efforts were all coordinated at the federal level.

Agree with this but would add media. There isn’t even a pretense of balanced coverage in this race. We were getting daily “Biden too old” stories, and now not a peep as Trump babbles incoherently and sways around on stage doing nothing for 39 minutes. Not to mention they’re still pretending the GOP not only does policy but does economic policy better than Dems, which is preposterous. Also his planned cheating is just baked into their coverage. And that’s before we get to them just running wild with every possible “Republicans say” trans and immigrant panic lie.

The video certainly seems like he was calling Trump’s supporters garbage. Which is accurate, but they probably would be better off keeping Biden under wraps while Kamala’s trying to make her push.

I suppose there is an argument that literally nothing matters and every citizen’s decision on whether they vote and who they vote for is locked in for years in advance. But in the world where maybe that is not the case, this is the kind of stuff that maybe doesn’t change votes, but certainly might lead someone to say they’re not getting up off their couch to vote because they’re tired of it all.
