That could have been a leak intended to start building a case against Warren or Bernie as VP, that it’s more important to get someone young enough to be heir apparent rather than someone who appeals more to progressives.
I just read a couple of those articles and the headlines are lies. In none of them does Biden make a statement that he won’t run. He considered saying that but only said he wouldn’t make a decision to run or not run at that time.

They may have participated in a little off the record chatter (probably to cynically inception people worried about his age that maybe maybe it’s only going to be four years), but as far as I can recall, and correct me if I’m wrong, neither Brandon nor anybody on Brandon’s team ever said anything on the record that he’s considering serving only one term. Even if he was, and I doubt he was, it would never be said, that’d be announcing a four year lame duck and very likely limit the power a President has in his first term to execute their agenda.
We need ~17 months of reasonable cogency and better ramp negotiation from Brandon, and hope for better candidates in 28.
