edit–December2017 for the 2016 election yeah, PI could resolve it sooner but I’m not paying 99 for that.
I don’t love these “risk $858 to win $8” plays. I get that it’s pretty much a lock, but weird shit happens, and it’s a long time to tie money up on a small return with a catastrophic risk of loss possibility (however remote).

official results aren’t gonna match the posted totals but it’ll be close enough where it won’t matter, the issue to that market is time as I noted the post above but I’d have to do some research I have no interest in doing because I’m out of that market entirely.

I mean this outcome is obviously significantly less than 1 percent, so it’s a theoretically good bet, I guess, but it’s just a long time to tie your money up I think on such a small gain. I mean you could stick the money into a CD and get like half that return right now for possibly how long it may take to pay out.

Yeah I noticed yesterday the “popular vote margin vs. polls” market also specifies the FEC publication thing. I’m going to be pretty annoyed if that market takes a year to resolve when they could just add up the certified results from each state right now.

i really dont expect it to take that long. im thinking they will resolve in a couple of weeks maximum. could be wrong though. i just dont think they’ll use the end by date as gospel because of
“PredictIt may determine how and when to settle the market based on all information available to PredictIt at the relevant time.” Can probably get the equivalent of 92c or something buying all the NO brackets if they get filled for 99cents.
