Best Song Ever Bracket!! (Walrus of Walri). All Welcome.

I didn’t realise till I listened after posting, but it’s true this group is just rock solid in every entry. I still voted for the one I submitted and the one I judged a winner, though. Not about to start admitting fallibility at this late stage in life, am I?

I mean you put two of my submissions in the same category. Obviously I’m going to vote for those.:joy:

My record of getting songs into the second round suggests otherwise.

Time for my drunken review of this round

Though before I get to that gotta say that KennyHoopla song grew on me, strong chance I will vote him through next round, but matchups are everything.

Friday I’m in Love-An obvious classic. Will get a mark against rest because it is an obvious classic. But what a happy song.

Trust In Me-Different and kind of digging it. Already two songs in and I know I’m going to have to give songs a second chance before my vote.

Alternative Ulster-Enjoyed, but not going to be in my top 2 this round.

Noir Désir-Need another listen, seems like a cool choice.

Mental as Anything-This put a smile on my face. Passes on to next round of listen. Fun song.

Seafood-Yep need another round of listening. Don’t see this winning, but a good choice.

Obviously in these difficult times anything that puts a smile on your face should be revered and honoured!

Alternative Ulster for sure. Leaning towards Seafood for the second one.

This is definitely the best round so far.

Brag that you won 3 entries?

Tough category, also interesting transposition of moods between the different songs. I only have two submissions in this whole thing and I’m probably not even voting for my own entry here! Scorch Comfort is my top pick, still deciding between a couple others. Would’ve voted for Noir Desir if it was like a minute to 90 seconds shorter.

Yeah I actually thought there was a chance that either you, @Pauwl or @pyatnitski would have submitted that one. Quite a song, but also not something you would put in many playlists.

2nd round of drunken listens

Trust in me-Slow cool sultry song. I thought they were a 90s band, but that is apparently an 80s song. That is very much not 80s. Cool.

Noir Desir-Still really liking this. But I am going Trust in me>Noir Desir. Razor thin margin. I had to switch between these songs quite a few times. Argh. Both are really cool

Too Many Times-Still fun. But now putting previous two ahead of it.

Seafood-Yeah now running last of these 4. Still good song though.

Strong group, but going with Trust in me and Noir Desir. Realizing more and more I do love a woman rock vocalist done right.

Programming note, it’s school holidays so I aim to get the next group admin sorted this evening.

There’s currently a tie break needed, so voting in this last few hours for Group 4 could be crucial!!

Cmon Seafood, hang on!

As the person who submitted Friday I’m in Love and was absolutely confident in crushing that category, I don’t think people should vote for it here! It’s third or fourth best here imo (docking points for popularity tho)

Dammit, how did Alternative Ulster fall so far? best song in the group!

Noir Desir should be leading by a wide margin. I’m going to contact the Trump campaign and see if they can set up some riggage.
