Meatloaf for Bat Out Of Hell

Sunflower Blues-Nice little song enjoyed it.
East Wes-Nice little song enjoyed it.
Lingua-Appreciate it, but not going to get my vote. But a cool song for itā€™s category.
Lady-I swear I didnā€™t go into this to duplicateā€¦butā€¦appreciate it, but not going to get my vote. But a cool song for itā€™s category.

Hurt-Still a little upset Hurt beat my Gary Clark submission. I canā€™t objectively argue that my Gary Clark submission is greater than Hurt. Hurt by Cash is transcendent. But thought the point of this was to avoid transcendent songs, and go for songs less heard of.

Fairport Convention-Songs that rely fully on lyrics donā€™t do much for me. But if it does for you, Iā€™d check this out.

My vote is sunflower and east wes

Jack Rose definitely gets a vote.

Not completely sure of the second one. Leaning East Wes, but might change.

Awwww, I didnā€™t know Meatloaf won a Q-ie

I feel like Johnny Cash should be DQā€™d. Thatā€™s like submitting Citizen Cane to a new movies competition.

Seems harsh to be calling for Johnny Cash to be DQā€™d when Bat Out of Hell is literally the song thats spent the longest time in the charts ever.

*completely unbiased view obviously

No oneā€™s sent me any gimmick logins yet, so my hands are tied.

More fake news as far as I can tell. Sad!

(Album might be second to Dark Side of the Moon, depending on how you count it, I think.)

((Looked at the actual charts, the UK ones, obv.))

To be fair I specifically didnā€™t penalize certain categories in my walrus for submitting popular songs since popular music was sort of the theme. In retrospect perhaps I should have because it would have been more satisfying for your song, which I loved, to win that category as well as having a different winner for the category that Gotye won but those were the rules and I stuck by them.

People who object to the Loaf are probably resigned to AM radio rock ruling on this forum.

I did vote for Meat Loaf, but only because the group was very weak. Itā€™ll be wrong if that song makes it beyond the Sweet 16.

I missed out on voting but zero chance Meatloaf would have gotten my vote.

Alright I tried listening to this song in a dark hotel room and I legit got freaked out and had to turn it off. That probably means I should vote for it but I donā€™t want to have to put myself through the experience of listening to it again.
