I’m certainly responsible for bringing up Maduro, because I am curious what the difference between him and Lukashenko is. Neither one is stacking up bodies like one of the real ghouls. They’re just going to hang on to power until they die or they can’t manage it anymore. I have the sense that some people are pro-Maduro and anti-Lukashenko, which seems odd.

I am worried about the future after Lukaschenko. Doubt Putin wants or tolerates a west-leaning Belarus. So i fear he will try to do something similar to the Ukraine and destabilize the country.
Not to sound like a complete pessimist, but how long before Putin sends the tanks in?
He’s gonna do what America does in Central America. Send secret forces in, install a Russia-friendly dictator and provide support so long as he does what Russia wants.
