About Moderation (old original thread)

Zero.

You also don’t see many people cheering for a grand slam with no runners on base.

LOL at quitting a forum but being unable to resist the urge to scold people concerned about war crimes. Welcomed three Ukranian kids into my classroom yesterday, but continue launching condescension grenades from your perch in Wisconsin or wherever.

What happened to Chads? Was an excellent poster for a long time and now he’s decided to go to war with the entire forum.

Which were the posts that PC/AQ was moderated for?

He was taunting a poster with like 80 posts in the alcohol use thread with ā€œhow drunk are youā€ asshattery. It’s a whopping 1 day silence.

Ah.i saw that, but I didnt know the context. Thank you.

That’s the sort of thing I do when I’m drunk…

So there’s silencing and banning according to the moderator action log.

My guess is that silencing removes your ability to post but you can still lurk while banning restricts you completely. Is that right?

Were the posts deleted? I can’t find them.

Right, can you imagine anyone throwing a temper tantrum over a simple one day ban? Absurd.

Bingo.

not the entire forum

All the points you are trying to make have been addressed in the Ukraine thread.

It was a fair question, I didn’t take it as a taunt. That’s probably why I misinterpreted Riverman’s post, I thought he was talking about some other convo in that thread and you were going round accusing everyone of being drunk!

Btw, welcome to the community, FakeAngryQueer!

You can reply to PMs, but I think you can’t start a PM thread (except with a mod?)

Really don’t think calling everyone bloodthirsty helps. Or pretending you’re not allowed to post about topics you’re clearly allowed to post about.

I’ve been a fan of your posting in the past, but you’re out of control lately.

100% of the time may have been hyperbole, and I haven’t really been in too much of a drinking mood with everything that’s been going on in the world lately. I tend to drink when I’m in a good mood, I’m not a depressive drunk.

Honestly I’ve cut back on my drinking 90% over the past two years and I’ve never felt better. It’s worth trying a few sober months.

I actually take 2-4 dry days a week on average these days. That adds up to a few months over the course of a year :grinning:
