I told it to model it after the St Matthew Passion, but I agree at the start it sounds more like Mozart. Maybe I should have tried Gilbert and Sullivan stile.

This is what happens when multiple people must have the last word no matter what. Just never ending childish back and forth equivalents to “I know you are but what am I?” that derail threads
I’m against bans, but if we have to have them, why not just make it the first person who posts a 4th response that includes an insult and is otherwise content free gets a week off to think about more important things?

CNs most recent ban was for saying “okay lol”. It’s easy for you not to get banned; it’s less easy when there is a terrible asshole mod with a vendetta against you.
And, to be clear, it would obviously be trivial for CN to avoid getting banned but it seems pretty non-trivial for him to post like a member of the forum with full rights (e.g. being allowed to engage any other poster on the forum) and also not get banned.

I don’t think every mod is an asshole with a crazy vendetta. Hell, I don’t even think Risky has a crazy vendetta against me, and they banned me for ‘reparations’, twice! If you had a stronger argument for his mod actions you wouldn’t have to post obvious bullshit like this.
I think Wichita has a crazy vendetta against me, and it goes a lot deeper than his moderator actions, but going into that up would violate our rules about old drama.

i think plenty of guys in my area in the 90s and aughts grew up in a culture of ripping on your other guy friends, sometimes out of nowhere for no reason other than to have a laugh. but i guess not everyone in the english speaking world shares this same culture. me personally, if i see a guy drive-by insult another guy just to remind him of a dumb thing he said 15 years ago, i see that as a kind of love language, that actually is a sign of respect in my culture.

I 100% sincerely did not mean any sort of animosity in that post. It was, as I said just before I got banned, the slightest of ribbing. Wichita and I had been talking positively about golf for months, he felt free to make negative comments about my game all the time. And I was fine with it because I thought we were just talking about golf! But apparently we were doing forum wars the entire time, or he just lost his temper and massively overreacted.
