I think they break it down in terms of what matters at the end. For pitching all that matters is k/9 and ERA (although team total WAR matters a bit too)
Yeah, I was filling RP with random WAR, scores going up since I started using real closers with half the WAR
A Catcher from 1920 with 5 WAR often has better stats than a catcher from 2010 with 9 WAR too
I tried the H2H and I’m assuming everyone cheats. Doing the version where stats hidden and people still picking the 7+ WAR guys from random 1920s teams. Other big tell is when they pick some random middle reliever that had a 4+ WAR season.

For any Settlers of Catan fans there is a new version of the game at colonist.io that is super addictive called Colonist Rush. The dice roll automatically and everyone can play anything at any time. The games take roughly 10 minutes total and besides that have normal Catan rules. Worth trying out for any Catan addicts from back in the day.
What baseball site are you guys using. I used 162-0.net and it was super easy. My first try I had a crap team and still got 141 wins. Plus it doesn’t look like what you guys are posting.

LOL. I ended up on that site too and was thinking “jeez, these guys suck!” because my records were around that ~135-140.

My first try. Kind of got screwed at end as I thought I only had two Empty spots and I had four so I messed up a couple of slots.
Without doubt. There are a few in there like Kareem, but Wilt will show up on the most 82-0 teams.

I think there’s some sort of min WAR (or maybe innings?) to get a good score because Clase gets a 59d bullpen rating with 1.29era/9.6 K/9 and 2.8 WAR
