The only dog I have ever disliked was a pug-french bulldog mix. Total asshole.
And now that dog is rip

Netherlands is banning pugs and other brachycephalic dogs because they’ve been bred in a way that basically guarantees health problems.

oh yeah and it’s entire existence is torture.
One of my roommates had a pug and it would completely ignore me until they would go out of town and I started feeding it.
I instantly became their new master and it would sleep in my bed, insist on sitting on my lap (b-hole first) at all times and scratch at the door to the bathroom while I took a shower.
My brother and his wife have had pugs. They’ve been very friendly, but super needy and gross and they snore like crazy. I like the dogs and all, but would not get one.
loving the pug hate, put bulldogs and just about any other squish face breed on that list too

I’m all for forcing surgery on all smushed face dog breeders. Surgery that gives them COPD and sleep apnea and an inability to close their mouth or contain drool

My friends bulldog growing up was possibly the most disgusting pet I have ever seen in my life. Just constant slobber, phlegm, snot, and farts

FWIW a friend of a friend, super tree-hugger type, got bit by a rattlesnake trying to drag it by the tail to get it out of harm’s way. Brilliant.

Yes. Perhaps that knowledge is not as common as I thought.
So yeah my amusement comes from:
- That (to me, I guess) is very obviously a rattlesnake
- That person got too close taking that picture
- Then they posted on Nextdoor

I looked for Highland Estates and only found something in Santa Monica.
It’s a neighborhood in Glendale.

Number 1 possibly I should have gotten, due to scale pattern. The head shape is not clear to me in this sunshine so that might have also tipped it
Maybe it’s just because of where I’ve always lived, but didn’t have a clue what kind of snake that was.
