2025 NFL Gameday Thread: Super Bowl LX-Sam Darnold faces the Ghosts Like They Weren't Even There

O snap

More BS from the shield. Big reminder of the failure to report video they put out

the fords should pull their advertising for a week

That threat was all it took to shut down all the talk about ending the Thanksgiving game tradition

i dont understand how the players are surprised. the nfl was publishing videos of them getting concussions and lasting brain damage as highlights for years.. players need to realize that they aren’t valued “employees” of some company. they are the product. the beef farmer does not care about the feelings or the long term health of the cow just making sure it gets to slaughter.

the players union should be trying to take everything and give nothing back in every possible negotiation.

This is more than a little overstated. Branch is on a 8m, 5.6m guaranteed, contract. He’s a valued employee

the NFL doesn’t care about him individually, which is what they are talking about. 80%+ of the consumers of the product probably have no idea who he is. the lions may care about him a little, not enough to do what that poster suggested but a little. however, they would replace him tomorrow with someone that would take a few dollars less for similar production and never think about him again.

After listening to a radio clip, he says it will be a public event this month with no numbing agents. Admission will be charged with proceeds going to a breast cancer charity. No conditions for how long he has to leave them in. One caller said he had it done in the 90s with no numbing agents and it wasn’t that bad.

Zac Taylor said it was alerted by their guy on the headset who’s “looking at all the numbers” and called it a “slide at five” situation. He’s referring to Sam Francis, their one-man analytics department.

“We deal with X’s and O’s, managing a team,” Taylor said. “Some of the analytics stuff is too much for me to know and understand. So you want someone who has that expertise that can explain it to you the right way to where you can then use that information and go accordingly.”

I’m glad they got a guy cause it’s always amazing that we see butchered situation management year after year across college and pro.

Thats all we’ve been asking for since like 2002!

2011 Green Bay. They were 15-1 and had peak Rogers. NFL wanted Rogers vs Brady in SB. Giants went into GB and beat the shit out of them. Refs did everything they could to help GB win. Giants still won by 17 and should have won by 30+.

I remember that game. Not well enough to remember the reffing. However, the word on the street is (or at least was) that the Giants always low key have the refs in their corner because NFL headquarters is in New York and most of the people there working there end up being Giants fans (but not Jets for some reason). I don’t know if it’s BS or not, but it seemed not crazy when I first heard it.

Kurt Warner sucks.

And the Jags remain the team that every other AFC team wants to play in the playoffs (if they make it)

Patriots trying to lose by STABLISHIN against the Titans. If they can’t stop your passing attack, you absolutely have to try and run!
