Colbert was good last night. Except for the part he said the rapture is today. Gave me bad dreams. Slept late. Don’t feel like getting out of bed. Scheduled vaccines this afternoon but why should I bother.

Just experienced my equivalent of this:
Woke up this morning to discover that a screw had fallen out of my glasses. Couldn’t find a repair kit that I know I have somewhere, but then remembered that I still had a broken pair of glasses that use the exact same frames as the ones I’m wearing. Kept them “just in case.” I dug them out, took a screw, and repaired my glasses.

Usually that doesn’t work and both glasses end up broken. Not speaking from experience or anything, just anecdotal you know.

There was one of these in 1989-ish as well. My friend’s evangelical parents said goodbye to him (for good) when they sent him back to college. When that didn’t happen, he went from being kind of religious to not believing in God.
Who actually predicted the rapture for today? I’ve seen so much about it except who actually made the prediction.

Nothing has happened to prevent my imminent vaccination so I guess I’ll jump in the shower now. Sigh.
