The narrative is that we watched the debate and were horrified. Something like 70% of democrats want him replaced. The rep that took over Issa’s old district called for him to drop out.
Can’t even imagine what’s next to come in the news cycle that will make us all forget about the Trump assassination attempt, but you just know it’s going to be a doozy.
Apparently Kamala and Vance are going to have a debate so that should be… something.

Yeah he ran good with the Trump assassination attempt stealing the spotlight and taking some of the heat off. Should be a lot easier for him to run the clock out to get the nom and then lose to Trump. But hey, at least he’s trying his hardest and that’s what it’s really all about!
If you told me really at any point in the past 10 years the president would be 2 inches from assassinarion and my reaction would be “spend 20 mins on Twitter then completely ignore it” I would…not have believed that.

On the other hand, maybe the DNC’s ham-fisted efforts to monkey with procedure to cram down the Biden nomination while everyone’s distracted by the assassination attempt will backfire? It’s a long-shot, but not as long as Biden winning the election. I’m not saying that rhetorically—prediction markets are giving Biden 70% to win the nomination, but only a 25% chance to win conditional on being nominated.
