2024 NFL Gameday Thread

that and the bad 4 seeds have won the wild card round more often than lost it even vs good 5’s

winning has cost the bears 2 draft spots now, may go higher

worth it

sure it’ll be annoying when the OT the bears wanted goes the pick before they do but worth it

Rams admitting they want to lose to play Wash instead of Det/Min.

would be other way around, losing plays det/min

Oh yeah. Why not play Stafford then?

I don’t know, clearly they don’t care

marvin mims is awesome

lol aaron rodgers leaving the game of football with some bangers

he’s going to have the worst televised episode of the decision ever

nobody wants you anymore go away

but he’ll act like he retired on his own terms or whatever

Not sure I get the celebrations about these records. Reaching a mark in 17 games that players have reached in 16 games before isnt that great.

Three million dollars is still three million dollars.

I get the joy about making 3 million bucks but in the clip i just saw the commentator said “Jerry Rice has company”. Yeah no shit but if the season was just 16 games like in the past he wouldnt reached his 11th 1000y season. In few more years when more players played most of their careers under the 17 game format even more players will reach these marks more often taking away some of its elusiveness.

They said the same stuff when the league went to 16 games. And with baseball when it expanded the number of games. Everyone has basically just agreed not to asterisk it, because then you’d have multiple layers of asterisks forever.

OJ got 2,000 yards in 14 games. But they’re not going to talk about that every time a back goes over 2,000 yards now. Jim Brown played his entire career with 14 games and is still #11 all time.

it’ll be probably 18 games then they want that money

yes it ruins historical records but in the end that doesn’t matter so much

Was rooting for Burrow to make the playoffs but not surprised that Nix lighting it up and the Jets being the Jets.

Yardage based incentive like that are dumb as fuck.

Yup. Dumb as shit. Would have been karma if they lost a playoff spot because of it.

Said this while I was watching. Everyone involved is dumb as shit.

what about this incentive? Bills punted from the Patriots 35 yard line

A rams loss would mean the NFC 7 seed has a better record than the 3 seed (the Bucs!).
