2024 NFL Gameday Thread

I remember when the usual last week of the NFL season 4 teams were fighting for one spot and 2 had to run up the score on the team they were playing. Or some shitty team knocked someone out of the playoffs and sometimes two or three did.

Now we had to move it to divisions to make it more “exciting”, and if broncos/rams win and vikings lose, the only race is falcons/bucs to see who might ruin the 5 seeds season before losing and they’re not playing each other.

Except in Super Bowls.

loooooooooooooooool bengals

first and goal from the 1

drop

run stuffed for loss of a yard

chase drops wide open touchdown

burrow stands too long doesn’t see anything runs around and gets caught from behind turnover on downs

anyway with 6 min left in the half and ticking cincy has 0 fumbles, 0 interceptions, 0 punts and 0 points

sean payton’s play call sheet size is a giant movie poster.

interesting game of the bengals battle between their high powered offense vs their absolutely worthless defense going on in the 2nd half

Gotta be so tilting to be joe burrow

that’s a fumble

not sure they’re gonna rule that

edit–they did

what a way to bust your knee

Man, the irony on that slide is off the charts.

bengals tush push td instead of knee/knee/kick field goal to end the game

Why was Denver even trying to stop them?

because it’s probably not legal to help carry him into the end zone?

so many fantasy seasons probably decided on this weird 2 play sequence

They couldn’t end the game. But they could waste another :40 and then tush push if they wanted.

Pretty hard to believe win equity drove that decision.

every time random scrub gets a 2 yard pass and cuts up field for 2 more yards instead of desperately trying to go OOB and wastes 20s for no reason

Teams really need to train receivers to not catch balls when it’s so suboptimal like that.
