Ok, I’ll say it: revolving doors are weird and I don’t like them.

Did you know a freed slave invented the door knob?
Saloon. Not even close.
Japanese sliding paper screen needs to be added in there.
Revolving doors are terrible, but I once stayed at an Airbnb with a sliding barn door on the primary bathroom and I’m NOT a fan of that at all.

In theory, shouldn’t it reduce the carbon footprint of your door usage? Not enough?
I expect this would be dependent on the number of times people walk through a door on a daily basis.
Revolving doors are fine until some joker tries to enter your compartment instead of waiting for the next one. Then it’s super duper weird and your whole day is ruined.
Revolving doors are also WOAT when you’re dealing with luggage.
I’ve gotta say I started this reply thinking revolving doors are ok, but I’ve talked myself into thinking they’re actually pretty terrible.
I’ve never been in a place with revolving doors and luggage that didn’t have separate regular doors meant for people with luggage.
I’ve been in a place where you were clearly meant to use the revolving door for everything, and the only alternative was a non automatic door that was extremely difficult to get through with luggage. Have also experienced a situation where the alternative doors were blocked off, forcing me to the revolving door. Didn’t occur to me that I might have run bad on my revolving door experiences.
I’ve been in a place
What was this place? A hotel?
Yeah, I think it was a hotel in Philadelphia during one of my trips there the last few years. Can’t recall which one.
Sure, but part of the point of those is for people not to take giant pieces of luggage on crowded public transport. Whether that should be done is a different question, but that seems like the intention.

I guess I have seen those massive revolving doors that are like 2-3x width of a regular door and each chamber is a big enough to pitch a tent in. But I don’t think I’ve seen one of those in a hotel. With that, getting your luggage in is no problem. But with standard size revolving doors, I agree that it’s annoying AF.
Revolving doors are fun!
