I read r/scams and it’s amazing how many people get scammed. Just read about a 15 year old in Columbia who makes $300 a month but got scammed out of his life savings of $1000 by a sextortion scam. It’s so sad.
People sending thousands in gift cards to whom they think are the police. Some people have lost thousands or even hundreds of thousands. Scamming is a hot business.
Some random dude tracked them down and reverse hacked them. What he provided to postal inspectors, FBI, and the banks sounds like it was all news to them. If this was billionaires getting scammed out of their life savings we’d be bombing those countries.
My angry daydream is that NSA interns should practice by finding the scammers and Seal Team 6 interns should practice by terminating them with severe prejudice.
Was playing poker last night. Part way through the night a guy sat down. Ripped (glamour muscles only), shaved head longish neat beard. He basically looked exactly like andrew tate. We were playing for a little while and then basically out of nowhere he says “you didn’t buy all that vaccine bullshit did you?” and unironically made the sheep noise. This is going to seem R/thathappened but I said you’re such a free thinker let me pick 5 topics and I bet I can nail your opinion on each of them. And I swear I went 5 for 5. 9/11 was an inside job. Elon Musk is cool and smart. Wokeness is out of control. There are too many immigrants. Andrew Tate isn’t guilty of trafficking women it’s made up to discredit him.
Now obviously it didn’t give him even a seconds pause and he was still spouting nonsense every hand but maybe just maybe in the dead of night he’ll think hmm why are all my opinions so cookie cutter. Right guys?
I do think it’s interesting in a morbid kind of way that MAGA people have some type of weird impulse to interject their stupid political views into random conversations in the most awkward ways possible.
