Fun day to be trying to fly.
Is it fixed now? Iâve got a flight tonight.
Lotta pissed off Karens at Starbucks this morning
Sis-in-law got stuck a few hours at CDG. Took off about 5h late.
Sounds like a normal day at CDG
The got caught in the strikes last year.
On my honeymoon I had a flight booked from CDG to Barcelona with a connecting flight to Bilbao. My flight from CDG was delayed for a few hours, and I missed the connecting flight. Because it was on a different airline and I had wisely booked the flights separately, I had to pay for another ticket. Luckily it wasnât that expensive.
Sitting at the gate now after flight delayed 3 hours. Their boarding computer just crashed so half the people canât board.
Could be worse. The plane we were waiting for sat on the tarmac in Indianapolis for 3+ hours before taking off.
When I was in Vegas this year playing poker and drinking. I asked the table what would be a good âAmerica beerâ. One guy suggested Miller High Life. I asked if it had marijuana in it or drugs that get you high. He said no, itâs the Champagne of beers. I asked whether it was highly carbonated like Champagne. He said itâs normal beer. I asked what region it was made in to be restricted like how Champagne has to be made in the region of Champagne in France. He gave up after that and told me itâs a terrible beer and he was joking. I love trolling Americans.
Because of the SNAFU.
Please find the attached General Order that extends todayâs deadlines until Monday, July 22, 2024.
Thank you,

While unrelated, I hope Windows 11 and the âback up everything to the cloudâ ethos of Microsoft ends up killing the company. Itâs dogshit and the world needs to convert to Linux or soemthing.
Straight-up insane we all have to pay AAA game prices for Word, which afaict hasnât really added any helpful features in 20 years.
The sunlight levels are whatâs the coolest part of the gif
You might enjoy this very long, detailed post. It includes a lot of things like running your own mail server and backing up your photos and such to your own cloud with multiple backups. Itâs at least an idea. I havenât done it myself but it sounds like something Iâd like to do.
Itâs interesting, but Iâm just pretty much anti-cloud, unless itâs backup emails. The way MS has redone Windows 11 screws with my procedure for working on cases/documents and introduces concerns regarding the security of various legal documents, which are often regarded as âhighly confidential.â
What does this mean for CrowdStrike? Are they done? The economic âdamageâ must be incalculable.
