Someone had an old standup bit about the crime called âMayhemâ and how crazy that sounds compared to the names of other crimes.
Youâre in jail with a bunch of people convicted of assault, burglary, etc and someone asked what you did and you just scream MAYHEM and they know not to fuck with you because youâre basically Hannibal Lecter.
That guy didnât just assault his wife, what he did was so messed up weâre inventing new slang words for it.

Patrice Millerâs body was discovered inside her Downieville home on Nov. 8, 2023, by Sierra County Sheriffâs Office deputies who had been summoned to conduct a welfare check. Deputies discovered a grisly scene with evidence that a bear had been inside, likely for several days, feeding on the womanâs remains, authorities said.
Initially, investigators thought she had died prior to the bearâs entry. However, an autopsy report completed last month revealed that Miller was killed when the animal swiped or bit her neck, Sierra County Sheriff Mike Fisher told KCRA-TV.

Yep, there are a ton of stories right now of bears in homes in the foothills. Nothing to worry about, totally natural, not a consequence of global warming or anything.

Had a bear story here yesterday. Just up the road. The bear climbed a tree, the animal control people came and darted it. It fell out of the tree 15â onto concrete. Dude said it would probably be fine, hey theyâre tough. Idk man, concrete is tough too. Anyway, they released it and said it was ok. Bear probably knows not to come back.
