Was listening to ABBA last week and watching some of their music videos and realized that, aside from celebrities who died young, they are some of the only celebrities (who are still relevant in some way) where the only image I have in my head of the members of the group is of them young. It’s like they are just frozen in time. Obviously everyone ages, but I just had no idea what they looked like past the 1970’s.
It’s hard to explain my thought process. Sure, there are loads of actors, musicians, etc., who were fleetingly famous, child stars who never did anything else, etc., but ABBA has very much been part of pop culture and our consciousness for decades and I just had no other image of them except for 50 years ago.
