You’re not going to a fucking deserted island. It’s a country with 1 billion people. You could just make friends with people who live there.

With inflation, a billion dollars doesn’t really buy you as much as it used to.

With the rise of Indian chess, one could become a major chess patron while banging hot Desi escorts.

Tell me you haven’t been to India without telling me you haven’t been to India.

You do realize that India is massive and has tons of cultural diversity? Just consider the languages. There are lots of languages that are spoken by tens of millions of people as their only language. We don’t have that here.

Maine at least is pretty. I might pick India over Mississippi and Alabama.

wtf gtfoh. it’s on the other side of the world, it has a billion people of which i know no one, don’t know the culture, the food and the climate is awful and definitely getting worse.

i might be racist, suck my dick how about that. fucking maine, i literally said i probably couldn’t fucking do it in canada.

your holier than thou routine can literally and actually suck my dick.

my gf’s first thought was that she didn’t want to be raped.

maine. fuck you.

alright i’m calm. though offended and taking offense. haven’t yelled on the internet in a while. smh got me heated.

Huh? I also said I would take the billion in India and would in the USA. I want to be a tropical billionaire in either case. Maybe St John if USA

Sorry, my mistake.

I guess I misunderstood the point you were making.

I wasn’t comparing US to India was just saying that I think US has a lot to offer if you have a billion dollars and would suck not being able to go to X country but there a lot of stuff to see here

Yeah, I agree with that.

Rex wouldn’t be caught dead in a place like this.

I agree with @d10 that this doesn’t really tell the story. It looks like it’s smoothed out by a low sample rate. FWIW, compare to a ride on NASA’s vomit comet

It was only 400 ft. That doesn’t seem like much distance.

Yeah. But that’s not a good indication of how violent an experience it was. I haven’t looked at videos but I’d guess they got bounced around pretty good, which I expect to show up in the graph as a lot of sharp spikes. You can’t see most of the spikes because the altitude is isn’t measured often enough over the 84 second time interval.

The vomit comet drops about 9,000 ft in roughly the same time but you don’t get thrown around a lot. It’s a relatively smooth ride, like being in a rollercoaster going over a hill.

ETA From a quick calculation it looks like the sharper spikes we see in the Singapore flight graph would result in >1 g average acceleration. That’s considered severe, I believe. The real numbers were probably bigger.

I’d snap accept being a billionaire in India. You guys have some weird perceptions of what India is like, especially being insanely rich in India.

Hit dog gonna holler

You’re one of the last people I’d expect to snap accept. Who loves traveling more than you? What’s the point of all that money if you can’t do that.
