Biden ran on forgiving student loan debt and raising the min wage to $15/hr. Not passing either made a lot of casuals indifferent. It’s why 20 million less people voted.
Call me insane but I don’t think he really wants to either. He much more wants to yell it at a rally and say we need to throw these scum in jail and get applause and adulation. It’s part of the show. Heck at the 9/11 ceremony wasn’t he seen saying to Kamala that she did a solid job at the debate. Showman Trump is different from everyday Trump. He just wants to go and golf.
I do think he will absolutely try to do the mass deportations though. But throw his political adversaries in jail? Eh, I dunno.
Nah. Hitler started with political opponents, not Jews. So I’d bet on Jack Smith, Liz Cheney, Adam Schiff, Jimmy Kimmel, Letitia James, Arthur Ergoran, etc.
Eh, I think at the very least the Bidens are cooked because Trump will want revenge for his own prosecution.
And one of the John Kelly type snitches said that in the first term there was a lot of “won’t somebody rid me of this priest” type stuff that was stopped or slowed down by Bill Barr. Meaning a lot of low to mid level staffers at the DOJ knew who Trump didn’t like and took it upon themselves to start investigations into them to impress the big guy.
Here’s Yglesias’ post mortem
Cliffs: Be more business friendly and more culturally moderate
if Trump locked up Pelosi I’d be much happier than I should be
In my opinion this sums up the election well: Turnout! Trump got it in 2016 and 2024, Biden got it in 2020.
Jimmy Kimmel lol
We’re really gonna do the why D’s lost - here’s a think piece based on my very own personal ideology - for another 4 fucking years. It’s time to tune out for good.
Oh cool, be Republican Lite, amazing the Dems have never thought of that before.
“Does not have the authority” lol. Who will stop him?
His own laziness and incompetence?
Dems ran a great campaign, just wish Harris answered that first debate question better.
" 4 years ago we inherited an absolute mess from the previous administration, a completely mishandled covid response and the highest unemployment we’ve seen in X years all the while inflation was beginning to rise. Unemployment is now near record lows and nearly every economic analyst was talking about a recession of various magnitudes. We avoided the recession entirely and had 4 years of bull markets and we have inflation now under control. We understand that many individual Americans are still hurting and I have plans to further improve this country, but as a whole the average American is significantly better off."
If going hard left is the solution, then why did AOC get a lower vote share than in either 2020 or 2022? I suspect we’d see a similar solution with the other “Squad” or progressive House incumbents.

I think to say he won is not an accurate depiction of what happened here.
Sure, Trump won. But more importantly, Republicans have now both the house and Senate majorities.
Their bills are likely to get passed, and they won’t get vetoed by the president. They can block non Bipartisan bills, and veto them through the president. They also have the SC majority.
The government is Republican now.
All he has to do is say “start” they will have everything ready to go for him.
A week ago I was in Lisbon and went to a museum/former jail that talked about the horrors of fascism under Salazar. Portugal is super religious, but anyone even remotely right wing is labeled a fascist and has no chance of being elected. Americans just don’t have that fear yet, but what I can’t understand is how over 50% of the electorate just voted for a career criminal who is also the dumbest man outside of Alabama that has ever run for political office that I’m aware of.
Our public education system has been gutted for decades. Now the uneducated are prime voting age.
