McDaniel is highly overrated. Almost as much as Tua.
I don’t think he’s a bad coach. Really just about average all things considered. Moving on from him probably gives you someone equally bad overall with perhaps different strengths and weaknesses. Might as well keep him and see if he improves. He’s still young.
But people slurp him like he is already Bill Walsh 2.0.
